It is with deep sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Katarzyna «Kathie» Kwiatkowska, who left this world peacefully on November 28, 2024, at the age of 35. Kathie was surrounded by love as she passed, with her devoted father, Janusz Kwiatkowski, and her loving boyfriend, John Steiger, by her side.
Kathie was the cherished daughter of Janusz Kwiatkowski and the late Iwona Kwiatkowska, who welcomed her into Heaven with open arms. She was also the cherished stepdaughter of Magda Kwiatkowski, loving sister to Justyna McLeod and Julia Kwiatkowski, and dear stepsister to Jeff Giebien. Kathie is deeply missed by her loving aunt and uncle, Marek and Elizabeth Dyla, and her cousins, Marcin and Slawomir Dyla. She will always be remembered fondly by Marcin’s wife, Adriana Dyla, and their two young sons, Adam and Marcus. Kathie was a cherished niece and cousin, with family ties that spanned across generations. Kathie’s love for life and people was evident in all she did. She was a proud and loving aunt to Jackson and Hannah McLeod, and her kind heart was felt by many, especially her close friend, Sheena Brodie.
Kathie’s generous and free-spirited nature made her a light in the lives of all who knew her. She loved to make others smile, and her warm presence will be deeply missed by all those fortunate enough to have known her. Kathie worked with great care and compassion at Amica Retirement Home, where she was dearly loved by the residents. Her ability to connect with others and make them feel valued was a testament to her selflessness and kindness.
She is survived by her father, stepmother, sister, family, and friends who will continue to carry her memory in their hearts. She will be forever missed, but never forgotten.
A service in memory of Kathie will be held at the Forrest and Taylor Funeral Home in Sutton, ON, on Friday, December 6th, 2024, at 11 am. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Renascent Graham Munro Centre in Kathie’s memory.
Kathie’s legacy of kindness, generosity, and love will live on in the hearts of those who knew her. Rest in peace, Kathie. You were deeply loved and will be forever missed.
