KAREN ANN ROSS
June 22,1939-December 19,2023
Karen passed away peacefully in her 84th year at Hospice-Erie Shores Campus in Leamington after a brief illness.
Survived and dearly missed by her husband of 63 years, James (Jim) Walter Ross, son James (Jamie) Neil Ross and daughter in law Jennifer Mee and Jack the dog. Her daughter, Heather Ross Jablonski, pre deceased her in 2022 (Raymond).
Much loved and adored by her best friend and sister, Jill Maynard of Toronto.
Karen was born the first daughter of Neil and Katherine Maynard (deceased) of Leamington.
Karen supported, loved, and nurtured every member of our family each and every day. Her love was absolutely unconditional for all of us!
She kept spoiled the whole family with her baking and her wonderful soups weekly. Especially her son.
Jim was a fixture on Leamington Town Council for many years. Karen was always by his side at various events supporting him and the Town of Leamington. She was the “First Lady” of Leamington during Jim’s tenure as mayor from 1993-1997.
Karen was an avid volunteer at Hospice of Leamington for many years. She will be dearly missed by the wonderful friends and volunteers.
As per Karen’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Memorial visitation will take place at Reid Funeral Home, 14 Russell Street, Leamington, ON (519-326-2631) on June 3, 2024 from 1pm until the Celebration of Life at 2pm.
In memory of Karen, donations may be made to Hospice of Leamington-Erie Shores Campus.
