It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Karen Ouimet (née Wood) on October 24, 2023 at the age of 61 after a courageous battle with cancer, at her home in Mascouche surrounded by her family.
Karen is predeceased by her life partner Joseph (Joe) Minicucci and her parents John Wood and Theresa Wood (née Massia).
She is survived by her daughters Stacy (Ryan) and Tracy (Hamza) and her grandchildren Vincent, Noah, Kade and Brynn.
Also survived by her sisters and brothers Patricia (Glenn), Doris (Bruno), Marlene (Dale), Judy (Tom), Joanne (John), Johnny (Shannon), Darrin (Micheline), David, her best friend Diane (Sam) and countless family and friends.
Those who knew mom, knew she was a loving, caring and generous person who loved spending time with her loved ones. Taken too soon, she will be sadly missed by all.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
Relatives and friends may attend a Celebration of Life at the Munro & Morris Funeral Homes Ltd., 114 Main St. South, Alexandria (613-525-2772) on Saturday, November 4, 2023 from 11 am to 1 pm. A light luncheon will follow the visitation. Interment of ashes will take place at a later date in Mascouche, Québec.
As a Memorial to Karen a tree will be planted in a memory woods. A tree grows – memories live.
