Judy Winnifred Stagg passed peacefully away in Grand Falls-Windsor, Newfoundland on June 5th, 2024 surrounded by her loved ones. Judy was 72 years of age. Predeceased by her parents Albert (Bert) and Ivy Stroud. Brothers and sisters Albert, Jennie, John, Gordon, Gary, Leonard, Derek, and Bonny (Cayen). Left to mourn are Judy’s much-beloved husband Bruce Stagg. Daughter Corinne (Cory) Jackman, Sons Rodney (Darlene) Stagg and Jeffrey Stagg. Sisters Betty Cameron, Peggy Wilson, Christina Rowsell, Sharon (Bernard) Humphries, Deborah Raymond, Cynthia Salopek and Brenda (Terry) Jesseau. Brothers Raymond (Daphne) Stroud, Baxter Stroud, Terry (Cathy) Stroud and Dale (Debbie) Stroud. Most precious Grandmother to Madison, Conall, and Laurissa Jackman. Cole and Jake Stagg, and Devin Stagg. Also leaving to mourn her brothers and sisters-in-law, and many friends and family; Judy was a special aunt to over 100 nephews and nieces.
Judy Winnifred Stagg was born on January 31st, 1952, in Grand Falls-Windsor, NL. She was the 9th child of Ivy and Albert and enjoyed a wonderful childhood surrounded by her siblings. In 1971, Judy married Bruce, and together they shared over 52 years of marriage, raising three wonderful children. For many years, Judy worked at the Carmelite house, where she joyfully prepared meals for her community. Her warm, loving heart and sense of humour endeared her to all who knew her. Judy was renowned for her delicious meals and baked goods, which brought comfort and joy to those around her. In her leisure time, Judy found happiness in simple pleasures like going to bingo with her many friends or taking a drive to grab a coffee. Her presence illuminated any room, and her infectious laughter brought smiles to those around her. Judy’s passing leaves a profound void in the lives of all who knew her. She was a special soul, and to have known Judy was to have loved her deeply. She will be greatly missed, but her memory will continue to warm the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to have known her.
