JUDITH ANNE TAYLOR STRANGES
October 30, 1953 – February 3, 2024
It is with heavy hearts and great sadness we announce the unexpected passing of Mrs. Judith Anne Stranges at the age of 70 on Saturday, February 3, 2024.
Judy was born in Port Arthur on October 30, 1953 to Mertyl and George Taylor. She graduated from PACI in 1971. She later started her family in Cloud Bay where she had her two beloved children; Tammy and Dana. She was very involved in her children’s lives up until her passing; Taking them to Brownies and Beavers in their early years. She loved to play volleyball at Blake Hall. Judy married her husband Michael on July 28th, 2000. After retiring as a hairdresser by trade she enjoyed eating lunch out at the Beacon and later on at the Husky. She was a huge part of her grandsons’ lives; London and Tristan. A favourite hobby was shopping and she was always dressed beautifully. Judy had a closet full of clothes from Vanderwees and you’d never catch her without her make-up on. She loved horror movies especially when there was a thunderstorm. Judy had a sweet tooth, she could be found in front of the TV watching tennis, which she was an avid fan, TSC or Bar Rescue while eating her favourite candy: licorice babies. Above all, her greatest love was spending time with her family.
Judy is survived by her husband Michael Stranges, daughter Tammy Hodder, grandsons London and Tristan, son Dana Hodder (Pauline), Sister Sandra Traynor (Bryan), Long time close friend Diane Lombardo and other numerous friends that she spent her time at the Beacon with. Along with nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents George and Mertyl Taylor and her brother Dean Taylor.
In keeping with Judy’s wishes, there was a small visitation and cremation has taken place. Arrangements have been entrusted to Simpler Times Cremation Centre, 575 Central Avenue, Thunder Bay.
A special thank you to Thunder Bay Paramedics and the staff at TBRHSC. We request that in lieu of flowers a donation be made to a charity of your choice.
Judy was a loving and compassionate woman who touched the lives of everyone she met. She made the world a better place with her kindness and we will forever miss her.
«There are no goodbyes for us. Wherever you are, you will always be in my heart.»
