Joseph Albright passed away peacefully in his 97th year, on May 21, 2023, at Southlake Hospital, Newmarket, Ontario.
Born 3 November 1926, he is survived by his son, James (Junjie), Tatamagouche; daughter, Joanne (Jeff) Davis, Aurora; brother-in-law, Robert Boeckner, Hanover; grandson, Jacob, Halifax; granddaughter, Kathryn (Paul) and great-granddaughter, Freddie, Sydney, Australia. He is predeceased by his wife, Helen (nee Boeckner), his parents, Anthony (Tony) and Anna Maria (nee Kastner), Walkerton; sister, Dorothy Soper, Toronto; and brother, Albin Albright, Wasaga Beach.
Joe and Helen were married in Hanover in 1949 and moved to Toronto in 1956, later settling and raising their family in Richmond Hill. Joseph worked for Canada Postal Service. After their retirement, they lived in Southampton, Waterloo, Newmarket, and Aurora. For many years they wintered in New Port Richey, Florida. The family would like to thank the staff of Kingsway Place for the care and compassion that they have shown Dad.
Family and friends are invited to a Graveside Inurnment Service will be held at Hanover Cemetery on Tuesday, June 20, 2023 at 12:30 pm. Arrangements entrusted to Mighton Funeral Home, Hanover 519-364-3660
