Memorial Donation
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of John Ide at his residence surrounded by his loving wife Alice and family members at the age of 90. Retired US Air Force Officer after serving 20 years of service in various areas around the world including Vietnam, Korea, Germany and Italy.
Leaving to mourn his loving wife Alice (nee Flynn) of 69 years also his son Nicholas (Donna) in Ontario. Grandchildren, Natalie, Lisa and Jermey. Brother Fred also a large number of nieces and nephews in the US and Canada. He was very proud of his adopted province Newfoundland and his Boston Burins and Red Sox.
Predeceased by parents Malcolm and Natalie Ide, also brother Malcolm as well as number of brother and sister in laws
The family would like to thank Dr. Ramjohn, the pharmacists and staff at Baccalieu Trail Pharmacy, special care workers Holly, Fredrica, Meghan, Tina Nora and Natasha.
Visitation will be held on Friday March 1st 2024 Broughton’s Funeral Home from 2 to 4 PM and 7 to 9 PM Saturday 11:00 to 1:30 PM
Funeral service Saturday March 2nd 2024 from Lady of Snows Church, Marysvale at 2 PM
Donations in his memory made be made to St. Patrick’s Parish, Brigus
Interment to follow at the R.C. Cemetery Brigus, NL.
