It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of John Robert Parrott, beloved husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. John Robert lived a full life, he passed away at the Burin Peninsula Health Care Center on Thursday, March 21st, 2024 at the age of 91 years. He was a man of high character who exemplified integrity, hard-work, kindness, compassion and unconditional love.
He was predeceased by his loving wife, Lottie; parents, Lillian & Nicholas Parrott; parents-in-law, Josephine & Alphonsus Hatch; sisters, Solonge (Gerald), Marie (Jack), Shirley (Walter) and Geraldine; and brothers-in-law, Edward (Margaret), Alphonsus and Patrick.
He will be forever missed and remembered by his children, Jackie (Howard), Robbie (Edie), Kirk (Roxanne) and Michelle (John). Forever remembering their Poppy are his grandchildren, Jennifer (Jeff), Jonathan (Danielle), Luke, Josh, Daniel, Charlotte, Brookelyn, Maria and Madison; great-grandchildren, Brynn, Liv and Maeve. Also mourning his loss is his brother, Frank Parrott (Lucy) and special friend, Catherine Delaney.
The family would like to express a sincere thank you to Dr. McCarthy and Nurses at BPHCC for your care and compassion and to the Staff at the Marystown Retirement Centre who gave him such great care.
The family will be accepting family & friends at Wiseman’s Funeral Home, Marystown on:
Sunday, March 24th
10am – 12noon
2pm – 4pm
7pm – 9pm
Funeral Mass will take place at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, St. Bernard’s on:
Monday, March 25th at 11am
Cremation will follow.
In John’s memory, donations can be made to Sacred Heart Parish, St. Bernard’s or flowers gratefully accepted.
