James John Pilgrim passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his family on Wednesday, February 1, 2023 at the age of 91 following a lengthy struggle with kidney disease. John Pilgrim, beloved husband of Betty, loving father of Mark & April of Maynooth, Janice Manning of Prince Edward County, Jim & Mary Jane of Selwyn and Tim & Lori of Cavan. John will be lovingly remembered by his 9 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. He is survived by his siblings, Edwin Pilgrim and Freda Mantieffel of Palmer Rapids. John was predeceased by his sister, Alice and by his parents: James Pilgrim and Bertha Liedtke. John and Betty have been residents of Bancroft for many years and raised their children here. John will be remembered by the many students he taught during his numerous years as a school teacher in various schools around the Bancroft area.
