CARR, John Michael passed peacefully at the age of 87 on Monday July 1, 2024 at Lakeridge Health Bowmanville with family by his side. Beloved husband and best friend to Mayme for almost 63 years. Much loved dad to Jeff (Donna) and Diane Bittel (Matt). Cherished Grandpa John to John Michael Carr II (Courtney), Emery Carr, Kyle Carr, Sarah Freer (Isaac), Noah Bittel and Jesse Bittel. Dear brother to Bronwen (Eddie) and the late Barry (late Joan) and the late Stuart. Missed dearly by several nieces and nephews. John will be lovingly remembered by his Trulls Road Free Methodist family where he and Mayme have been members for 44 years. Fondly remembered for his compassion, kindness, love for everyone, he was a great example of Christ’s Love and “he never met a stranger” he will be deeply missed by all who knew him or crossed paths with him. Friends and family are invited to gather for a visitation at NEWCASTLE FUNERAL HOME on Sunday July 7th from 2:00 p.m – 4:00 p.m. Funeral Service will take place on Monday July 8th at TRULLS ROAD FREE METHODIST CHURCH (2301 Trulls Rd, Courtice, ON L1E 3B6) at 11:00 a.m. Visitation will take place one hour prior. Reception to follow at church with interment at Bond Head Cemetery. If so desired memorial donations may be made to Trulls Road Free Methodist Church.
