John Malcolm Livingstone

John, age 72, died peacefully at Baycrest Centre after a long hospital stay. He will be mourned by his sister Anne and close friends Marta & Scott. John had a great sense of humour and kind, friendly manner that will be missed by many.
Born out west, John’s family moved to Willowdale when he was 10 and he remained in Toronto. He always enjoyed trips to visit extended family in Nova Scotia. John loved playing guitar and singing (sometimes songs he wrote) at gatherings. John was also interested in history. Throughout his adult life he was a dedicated (obsessive?) movie buff.
John had at least one cat most of his life. Recently he was glad that his beloved Black Dahlia was taken in by Michael, a longtime neighbour.
Per John’s wishes there will be no service. He supported the Toronto Humane Society, so donations in his honour would be appreciated.
