COLOMBO, GIOVANNI «JOHN» – With his niece by his side, after a long and difficult struggle, Giovanni passed away on Thursday, May 9, 2024 at the age of 76 at Niagara Health St. Catharines. Dear Uncle to Jennifer (née Franceschini) and Jason. Uncle Johnny will be fondly remembered by Joshua Dingman and his beautiful daughter Payton. Giovanni will be sadly missed by his sister Rosanna (Antonio) Mucci, but was predeceased by his sister Amalia (Giovanni) Franceschini, and his parents Flaviano and Rosina. Adored by nieces Luciana and Sabrina. He worked at the Seaway for more than 20 years, but his joy was in visiting and celebrating with his friends in Montelongo, Italy, and maintaining his family connections with his many cousins in Montreal, USA and Italy. Visitors will be received at BOCCHINFUSO FUNERAL HOME 2 Regent Street, Thorold on Friday, May 17, 2024 from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM. Funeral Liturgy Outside of Mass will follow in the Lamb Chapel. Rite of Committal Lakeview Cemetery. Donations to Our Lady of the Holy Catholic Church or Ronald McDonald House Charities and online condolences in Giovanni’s memory may be left at www.Bocchinfusofh.com.
