It is with profound sadness that the family announces the passing of John Biondich on Sunday, March 26, 2023 at the age of 84.
John will be deeply missed by his son Johnny and wife Christine and son Paul and wife Renata. He was adored as “Dido B” by his three grandchildren, Philip, Robert and Victoria. He is predeceased by his loving wife, Irena as well as brothers Milan, Jurica and sister Marija.
John also leaves behind his brother, Bozo (late wife, Anica) and family (Annemarie, Marko & Vinka) as well as sister-in-law Ankica (late husband, Jurica) and family (Renato & Jurica). He will also be missed by sister Zora in Croatia, along with his many nieces and nephews overseas.
John immigrated to Canada in 1958 from Melnice, Croatia, where he started a new life in Canada. He met the love of his life, Irena and they were married in 1964. John was open to new adventures and was very involved in supporting the Croatian community. This included establishing the Mississauga Croatian Soccer Club where he coached and mentored a younger generation of Croatians who shared his love for soccer. John was always eager and enthusiastic to help family and friends whenever they needed him. He was remarkably generous and enjoyed the simple things in life….time spent with those he cared about, with a drink to toast the occasion. We will remember his kind, loving soul and will miss him dearly.
