AZEVEDO, Joao “John” – Passed away peacefully at the Greater Niagara General Hospital on Friday February 17, 2023 at the age of 84. Beloved wife of Fatima for 48 years. Loving brother of Roger Azevedo, Francisco (Gorete) Azevedo and the late Joseph Azevedo. Caring sister in-law of Leonilde Azevedo. Dear uncle of Francisco, Helder and Roberto. He will be fondly remembered by his many friends and neighbors.
John was born in Azores, Portugal and immigrated to Canada in 1969. After many years John and Fatima chose to retire in Niagara Falls.
Friends and family are invited to MORSE & SON FUNERAL HOME, 5917 Main Street, Niagara Falls, on Thursday February 23, 2023 from 6 to 9 pm. A Funeral Mass to celebrate the life of John will be held at St. Thomas More Church, 6548 Dorchester Rd, Niagara Falls, on Friday February 24, 2023 at 11am. Rite of Committal will follow at Fairview Cemetery. Those who wish may make a memorial donation to Niagara Health Foundation – Walker Family Cancer Centre.
