In loving memory of Joan Butcher who passed away on Sunday, May 12th, 2024 at St. Joseph’s Continuing Care at the age of 90.
Predeceased by her parents Stanley and Muriel (Ashmore) Butcher. Loving sister of Kathleen Dixon (Ross) of Lively. She will be missed by her nieces Susan Oldroyd and Jane Dixon-Rogers (Aaron) and nephew Dean Dixon (Tammy) and her many great nieces and nephews.
Joan was a Registered Nurse who started her career at the Sudbury General Hospital. She went on to work in Huntsville, then finished her nursing career as head nurse at Joseph Brant Hospital in Burlington. Joan was a gentle soul who will be lovingly remembered by her family.
At her request, cremation has taken place. A celebration of her life will be held in Burlington at a later date. Donations to St. Christopher’s Anglican Church (Burlington) would be appreciated. Arrangements entrusted to the Lougheed Funeral Homes.
