1941-2024
Her death occurred peacefully at the Queen Elizabeth
Hospital, on Monday, November 25th, 2024 of Joan Bolger (Hagen), age
83.
Joan is lovingly remembered by her husband of 60
years, Ronald. Joan was the loving mother to Patsy Bolger Gallant and
Paula Bolger (Darrell MacLaren). Joan was also a loving grandmother to
Aidan Gallant (Hannah Myers), Annick Gallant (Nick Young), and Kate
and Ryan MacLaren. She will be lovingly remembered by her siblings
Margaret (Brian) McCallum, Douglas (Mary) Hagen, Frances Campbell,
Mary (Tom) McGraw, as well as by her many nieces and nephews, grand
nieces and nephews. Joan was predeceased by her parents Edwin and Mary
(Driscoll) Hagen, sister, Sr. Marie Hagen, very recently by her
brother Kilmer (Irene MacDonald) Hagen, brother-in-law Charles
Campbell, and son-in-law Stephen Gallant. Our family would like to say
special thanks to the staff of PCU and Unit 2 for the care and
compassion they showed to Mom while she was there. Also we give much
thanks to the physiotherapists, OT and dieticians who worked with her
while in hospital. Resting at the Hennessey Cutcliffe Charlottetown
Funeral Home until Monday, December 2, 2024 then transferred to the
Church of the Most Holy Redeemer for Funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m.
Interment later in the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Charlottetown.
Visiting hours on Sunday 2 – 4 p.m. If you wish, donations may be made
to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the QEH Foundation. Online
