Pritchard: James (Jim) Alexander
February 6, 1944 – February 23, 2024
Peacefully with his family by his side, Jim passed away after a brief and courageous journey with pancreatic cancer, at the Kingston Health Sciences Centre. He was the beloved husband of Glenda (Joyce), devoted father of Ted (Nancy), Michelle Matthews (Joe) and Cary (Jamie). Loving grandfather of Cory, Brock, Brandon, Cary, Mackennsie, Morgan and Charleigh. He leaves behind several great grandchildren. Dear brother of Ben (late Ruth), Pat Donald (Bud), and Sylvia Cunningham (Bill). Dear brother in law of Lynn Pritchard. Predeceased by his brothers Thomas, Bill and Bob Pritchard and by a sister Mary Dennis. His positive attitude and sense of humour kept us all smiling. He will be deeply missed. The family wishes to express their heartfelt thanks to Dr. Brian Hart, Paramedics, KGH emergency room staff, the nurses and staff on Kidd 6, Kidd 4, Davies 4 ICU, Dr. Nanji and his team, the palliative Care and Spiritual Care team. There will be no visitation. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Mary’s Cathedral, 279 Johnson Street Kingston on Thursday February 29 at 2:00 pm. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. A Private family burial will take place. As expressions of sympathy, donations made to the University Hospitals Kingston Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
