Kipp, James Douglas (“Kipper”) (October 10th, 1961 – July 27th, 2024)
A resident of the Tillsonburg area all of his life, Jim passed away, unexpectedly, at University Hospital, London, on Saturday, July 27th, 2024, at the age of 62. Beloved son of Marilyn (Mannell) Kipp and the late Harold Kipp (April 1, 2021), brother of Cindy Gibbons (Brent), Tillsonburg; David Kipp (Mariyana), Paris; nieces Tanya Hamm, Chantelle Gibbons and nephew Dakota Walker, three great-nieces Lily, Samantha and Victoria. Predeceased by his wife Sandra Dekeyser and grandparents Jim and Phyllis Mannell, Gladys Kipp and John Kipp. Jim was a dedicated employee for 25 years at Reiter Automotive Mastico Ltd and while there returned to school and became an industrial millwright. He presently worked at Future Transfer Co. Jim’s much loved dog Gypsy, will miss him greatly and will remain with Rose and the Boys where Jim lived as they also loved her. His training at Fanshawe College was in electrical engineering. He loved sports, reading, doing puzzles, cards, darts, canoeing and especially cycling. He always biked to work in the summer, winter through the rain, snow whatever the weather.
A private family viewing has taken place prior to cremation. We will have a Celebration of Jim’s Life featuring some of his favourite things on Sunday, August 11th, 2024, in the downstairs of Royal Canadian Legion, 16 Durham Street, Tillsonburg from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Everyone who knew Jim is invited to express personal condolences, share memories and photos or in lieu of flowers contribute memorial donations in Jim’s memory to the “Heart and Stroke Foundation” or to the “Helping Hand Food Bank” via Jim’s online tribute page at www.verhoevefuneralhomes.com or by contacting the Maurice J.
