Jerome Anthony Brenner of Listowel, and formerly of Crosshill, passed away at University Hospital on Wednesday, February 8, 2023, in his 85th year.
Husband of Maryan (Potje) Brenner for almost 58 years.
Father of Richard Brenner of Waterloo, and Lori Ducharme of Belle River, and grandfather of Ashely, Jordan, Emma and Leah.
Brother of Anne Runstedler of Listowel, Ruth Garvey of Fairview, Alberta, Ed Brenner of Elmira, Marie Hergott of Fairview, Alberta, Tony and Marie Brenner of Kitchener, and Joe and Karen Brenner of Waterloo.
Predeceased by his parents Urban and Emma ((Strauss) Brenner, brothers Paul Brenner of Nova Scotia, and Bill Brenner of Alberta, and by his brothers-in-law Walter Runstedler, Walt Southern, and Doug Hergott.
Jerome was born in Linwood on April 13, 1938. He and Maryan were married in St. Clements on July 31, 1965. After working at Clemmers Industries in Waterloo for many years, he began his own business, Better Built Trailers, in Crosshill.
Jerome and Maryan enjoyed their cottage at Conestoga Lake for 49 years. He was an avid snowmobiler and Nascar fan, and loved time with his family.
Visitation will be held at the Eaton Funeral Home, Listowel on Sunday, February 12, 2023, from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 2:00 p.m. Reception to follow. Interment in St. Clements Roman Catholic Cemetery.
Memorial donations to Canadian Diabetes Association would be appreciated.
The family is especially thankful for the care received from Dr. Cameron and the staff at Listowel Memorial Hospital 2nd floor.
