Jennifer Lynne Parker
1964-2024
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of
Jennifer Lynne Parker, 59, of Weldon. She went to be with her Lord and
Saviour on July 14,2024. After succumbing to her
injuries from a motorcycle accident.
Jennie was born in Moncton on September 20, 1964 the daughter
of the late Edward Steeves and Patricia (Crowther) Steeves of
Moncton.
Jennie was very much a people person, she made everywhere
she went fun. She took her Food Service Degree and taught
Home Economics. She taught at the Success College,
She worked at Nutri-System and was former Customer Service
and Sales at Royal Direct Call Center and Gary Steeves Insurance
Ltd. She last taught at Caledonia High School
until her retirement in 2015. She was always
willing to help anyone in need and volunteered for many
organizations. She spent numerous hours at the Pregnancy
Resource Center, Crossroads for Women and New Hope Ministries serving
in whatever way she could. She was so community
minded and loved children. Jennie was a very special lady
who made everyone feel comfortable around her and just had a very
carefree attitude and didn’t judge anyone. She was
a pillar of her community.
She was a member of the Hillsborough Baptist Church and her
faith was very important to her. She loved travelling with
her family and friends, she enjoyed camping but with Jennie it was
definitely Glamping, as she liked to have a comfy bed and air
conditioner. She enjoyed walking on the beach and going on
the motorcycle for drives, and was an avid reader. One of
her favorite pastimes was riding her horse. She loved horses
and her and her daughter had this in common, making many
memories on the trails.
As many knew Jennie was unique and did things in her own
way. She lived with joy and enthusiasm.
Often the biggest cheerleader at the game, the loudest laugh
in the room and always shone to be the brightest light in
everything she did. Her family was her life and she was
always there for them all. Tim and Jennie did everything
together and made a great legacy of love for their family to
admire. Her children and grandchildren were her pride
and joy and she was so proud of how her children have turned
out and couldn’t have loved them more. When her
grandchildren were around she was always holding them or playing on
the floor, whatever they wanted, «Nennie» was there and
loved every minute of it.
Jennie made a huge impression on everyone she met, her
absence will leave a Jennie sized hole but we can take comfort that we
will see her again. She has left so many wonderful memories
that will be cherished over the years. Until we meet
again.
She will be deeply missed by her mother, Patricia Steeves
of Moncton; husband and best friend, Tim Parker ; her children,
Kristin Murray (Tim) of Edgett’s Landing and David Parker (Chalice) of
Edmonton, AB; her precious grandchildren, Harlow, Edyn, Tobias and
Weston; brothers, Michael Steeves of Indian Mountain, Jim Steeves
(Shelley) of Moncton and David Steeves (Tina) of Bear River, NS; also
her good friend and sister-in-law, Judi Parker who was like her
sister. She will also be missed by several nieces, nephews
and by all her In-laws- The Parker Family and by her many friends and
neighbours.
A Funeral Service will be held at the
Hillsborough Baptist Church on Sunday, July 21,2024 at 3:30pm
with Rev. Dean MacDonald officiating. There will be a time
of sharing memories and further fellowship at the reception
immediately following the service. Interment will be in the
Stoney Creek Cemetery, Stoney Creek, NB.
In Memory of Jennie donations to the Hillsborough
Playground Fund or any local community charities would be greatly
appreciated by the family. The family would like to thank
the community for the overwhelming support during this time.
All the kindness will never be forgotten.
