Obituary
Passed peacefully away surrounded by her loving family at her daughter’s home in St. John’s, Jennie Louise Reid, formerly of Old Shop, aged 91 years.
Predeceased by her loving husband Raymond Reid (1998); baby boy Raymond Jr. (1956); sisters Alfreda (Walter) Mercer, Margaret (Samuel) Mitchell, Lily and Ruby; brothers Arthur (Mahalla) Reid, Aubrey (Susie) Reid, Bramwell Reid and Llewellyn Reid; brother and sisters-in-law Hayward (Lily) Reid, Beatrice (Clyde) Smith and Rita (James) Bath.
Leaving behind with treasured memories are her loving children, sons Gerald Reid, Randy Reid (Sandi Seward) Sandi’s children Evan and Nicole as well as their families; daughter Heather Reid (Brian Connors) Brian’s children Beverly, Sean, Brian Jr., and Seamus as well as their families; her precious grandchildren who she loved with all her heart, April Reid (Kirk Butler), Candice Reid (Russell Murphy) and Shalen Reid (Tara); darling great grandchild Ellie-Rae Reid; special niece Bernice (Wayne) Gilbert; Mom’s home care worker, who she loved dearly, and she was so good to Mom, Rahwa Beyene; along with a large circle of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Visitation will be held from Warren’s Funeral Home, Dildo, NL, on Friday, March 22, 2024, from 2:00 – 4:00 and 7:00 – 9:00 pm.
A funeral service to celebrate Jennie’s life will be held from Warren’s Funeral Home, Dildo, NL, on March 23, 2024, at 2:00 pm. Interment to follow at Trinity United Church Cemetery, New Harbour.
Flowers gratefully accepted or donations in Jennie’s memory may be made to the St. John The Baptist United Church Cemetery Fund.
