It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Jean Charolette Haubrick, aged 86, of Moose Jaw.
Jean’s parents were Dorothy and Norman Bagg. They lived in Springside, SK, where she attended school from grade 1-12. She then took a business class in at Yorkton Collegiate Institute in Yorkton. She started work at the Co-op Creamery in Yorkton. Later she transferred to Moose Jaw where she lived with her cousin Leona. Later she moved into an apartment in Moose Jaw. When working at the creamery in Moose Jaw, she met her future husband, Frank Haubrick. They moved to Smithers, BC. Where Frank worked with his brother in law on the CN Railway. They were married in Smithers and Jean worked for a bank then was relocated to the BC Dept of Highways in Vancouver where she was head of her department. They lived in Vancouver until both she and Frank retired. They then moved to Regina and later back to Springside where they were closer to Jean’s extended family.
Frank later passed away and Jean moved into Yorkton. Her cousin Gerald lived with her until he got sick and then Jean moved into a Bentley in Yorkton. She later moved to the Moose Jaw Bentley. She later got sick and was moved from the hospital to the Pioneer Lodge nursing home in Moose Jaw.
Jean enjoyed dancing, playing cards and visiting with family, both Frank’s family in BC and her family in Springside and Yorkton. She lived in beautiful homes, many of which Frank had built. Jean had many good friends who kept in touch with her throughout her life, and most especially her cousin Leona who was a lifelong friend and support, as were Leona’s children and their families. Jean would have been 87 this June 30.
