Obituary
Brannen, Janie Trudy – 74, Port La Tour, Shelburne County. It is with broken hearts we announce the sudden passing of our mom, grandmother and wife on October 11, 2024 at the Yarmouth Regional Hospital. To us, her family she was our rock and strength. She was selfless and always thinking of everyone else. Mom loved hard. You never left the house without feeling that love. You definitely never left the house hungry. Always happy to cook for everyone. She was full of life and happiness with a contagious smile. Her strength was her faith. Her relationship in God was her anchor. Janie is survived by her husband of 57 years Claudie «Bub»; daughters, Debbie (John), Charlotte (Jason), Paula (Dean) and Melanie (Jonathan); grandchildren, Natasha, Joshua, Justin, Shania, Harrison, Makayla, Jada, Cameron, Brooklyn, Jenna and Christopher; great-grandchildren, Brooks and Beckham; siblings, Terry (Joyce), Gary, Joey (Kathryn), Agnes and Gertrude; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents Seaton and Deborah Nickerson and 13 siblings. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the EHS staff, doctors and nurses at the Yarmouth Regional Hospital for their care and compassion. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 15 from 7-9 pm at the H.M Huskilson’s Funeral Home, Barrington. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 16 at 2:00 pm from the H.M. Huskilson’s Memorial Chapel. Family flowers only. Memorial donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
