It is with great sadness that Janet’s family would like to announce the passing of their dear mother at the Arnprior and District Memorial Hospital on May 5, 2023. Janet Ruby Shean of Cobden was in her 83rd year.
Beloved wife of the late Bernard “Bun” Shean (April 29, 1998). Dear mother of Terry Shean (Kersty) of Sandpoint, Kim Huckabone (Philip) of Grande Prairie (Alberta) and Charlene Sparling (Jerry) of Arnprior. Loved grandmother of Justin (Megan McAlister), Connor, Madison (David LeGoff), Mason, Ryland, Haley, Alyssa (Matt Hicke), Ashley, Brittany, and Kayla (Travis Shorten) and great grandmother of Denver (Justin & Megan). Predeceased by her parents Alex and Edith (Warren) Schauer of Cobden, and brother Merrill of Cobden, 2 sisters Helen (Wayne Pearson) of Pembroke, and Geraldine. Also sadly missed by her loving siblings Elwin (Barbara) Schauer of Ottawa, Don (Judy) Schauer of Pembroke, Keith (Joyce) Schauer of Belleville, Jim Schauer (Yvonne Herrick) of Cobden, Betty (late Joe Schwab) of California, Doug (late Saundra Saunders) Schauer of Cobden, Lorna (Bill Diaz) of California. 2 sister-in laws Joan (late Merrill) Schauer of Cobden and Mary (late Wayne) Pearson of Almonte.
Loved sister-in-law of Darlyne (late Len) Shean of Arnprior, Bonnie (late Don) Shean of Renfrew, Reta Behm (late Gary) of Haley Station, Betty Shean Lukus (Late Ed Lukus & Frank Shean) of Pembroke, and predeceased by Mary and Ken Wismer, Margaret and Norman Hutt, Agnes and Bob Barker all of Almonte.
Janet had many fond memories she had shared with the many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends. Special thanks to the staff and care givers of the Revera Arnprior Villa Residence Home.
Professional arrangements entrusted to Renfrew County Cremation Service. A Celebration of Life will be held later in the summer as Janet requested.
