Janet Atkinson Obituary
Janet Theresa Atkinson, age 84, of London, formerly of Stratford, passed away after a long illness on March 28, 2024 at McCormick Home in London, Ontario. Born in Melbourne, Quebec, July 11, 1939 daughter of the late Wilfred and Robina (Montague) Atkinson. Janet was a loving mother who enjoyed needle crafts, music, dancing and reading. She is survived by her two daughters Karen Smith (Scott), Jane Seeley (Paul Love) and son Brian Seeley and grandchildren Kathleen Romak, Holly Romak (Pierson Cauwels), Trevor Love, Christina Seeley (Jordan Knight), Brianne Seeley, Colin Seeley and great grandchildren Jace and Landon Knight.
Janet was predeceased by her husband John H. B. Seeley and her second husband Robert Evans. Her sisters Barbara Hilborn (Ivan), Noreen West, and her brother John Atkinson, her uncle Thomas Montague and grandson Derek Romak
Janet spent many years in Stratford, Burlington London, and Exeter and was a friend to all who knew her.
Cremation has taken place, and a private funeral will be held in Avondale Cemetery, Stratford. As expressions of sympathy memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society in Janet’s memory through the W. G. Young Funeral Home, 430 Huron St, Stratford. www.wgyoungfuneralhome.com
