Obituary
Passed peacefully away in the presence of his loving family, on Wednesday, June 28, 2023, at the Miller Centre, St. John’s, James «Jim» Stamp, of St. Vincent’s, St. Mary’s, Bay, aged 84 years.
Predeceased by wife Anne (1987) and second wife Deborah (2016), parents Arthur & Ellen Stamp; sisters: Dorothy (Bert) Orielly, Mary (Felix) Cornect, Ada (Fabian) Halleran and Theresa (Herb) Hayward, brother Arthur Stamp; brothers-in-law: Peter Fagan, Raymond Power and Ken Walsh and Deborah’s son Larry St. Croix and daughter Marie McNeil.
Leaving to mourn his sons Ross (Dawn Marie, Andrew and Jaxon), Randy (Michele and Ryan) and Gordon (Elaine) St. Croix; daughters: Linda (Cecil) Gibbons, Grace (Keith) Hartery and son-in-law Kevin McNeil, sister Betty Fagan; brothers-in-law: Pat Walsh, John Walsh and Randy Walsh and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends, especially his lifelong buddy Jerome Stamp and Hughie Yetman. A special mention to Don & Daphne Hayward, Bill Williams & Barb Critch and John Molloy who were always there to lend a helping hand.
A special thank you to Todd and staff of St. Mary’s Pharmacy and Gibbons’ Ambulance and Funeral Service for all your care and support over the years.
Resting at Gibbons’ Funeral Home, St. Mary’s, on Saturday, July 1st, from 10:00am – 8:30pm and Sunday, July 2nd, 10:00 – 12:00pm. A Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, July 2, at 1:30pm at Our Lady of the Assumption Church, St. Mary’s. Burial to Follow at St. Vincent’s Cemetery. Flowers gratefully accepted or donations in his memory may be made to the St. Vincent’s Volunteer Fire Department.
