Obituary
REID, James McNichol – 81, of Lower Clark’s Harbour, Scotty as his friends knew him passed away peacefully at the Roseway Hospital, Sandy Point, on Monday, January 2, 2023. He will be greatly missed by the love of his life, his wife, Donna of 21 years. They were inseparable partners together; where you would find one, you would find the other as everything they did was together. He was Canadian Champion of Canada Racing Pigeons and president of Canary Club in Toronto. Birds were his passion as he sat on the patio watching them, no matter the weather, good or bad. He played guitar and sang many Hank songs at music functions and even wrote a song, “Christmas Inside My Head” which won a competition award. He loved the great outdoors. When he was well, we took many walks on beaches and camping. He will be greatly missed by Jock and Nessie, his dogs, his budgies, zebra finches and canaries. Love you and miss you, Scotty. Besides his wife of 21 years, Donna, he is survived by his children, Tim (Diane), Tommy (Clare), Kimberley (Dan); brother, David (Anne); and grandchildren, Justin and Rachal Buttigieg; Samanthia and Debbie, Daniel and Racheal. Besides his parents, Thomas and Catherine, he was predeceased by, daughter, Catherine; siblings, Edward (sister-in-law, Margaret), Jacqueline, and Catherine. Arrangements are under the care and direction of H. M. Huskilson’s Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Barrington. No formal visitation or service by request.
