It is with broken hearts that the family of the late James H. Hooper of Creston South announces his passing. James passed peacefully away at the Burin Peninsula Health Care Centre in Burin on Monday, May 20, 2024 at the age of 87.
Leaving to mourn with a lifetime of wonderful memories are his daughter, Beverley Hooper Cheeseman (Gordon) of Rushoon; sons, Raymond Hooper (Cecilia) of Ontario, David Hooper (Joshie) of Creston South and Boris Hooper (Norma) of Ontario; 4 grandchildren, Brandon Cheeseman (Sherry), Myer Hooper (Veronique), Rayane Sauve (Trevor) and Wyatt Hooper (Lacey); 5 great-grandchildren, Gracie, Aaliyah, Sylas, Nyla and Sage; nieces & nephews; plus a large circle of extended family and friends.
James was predeceased by his wife, Mondella Hooper; son, Clayton Hooper; brother, Samuel Hooper; sister, Susan Wiscombe; parents, Steven & Mary Hooper; parents-in-law, Raymond & Alice Good; nieces, Mary Moulton and Diane Randell; nephews, Lou Wiscombe and Sam Wiscombe; and sister-in-law, Ruby Pike.
The Hooper Family will be accepting visitors at Peninsula Funeral Home, Creston South on:
Thursday
10am – 12noon
2pm – 4pm
7pm – 9pm
A funeral service will take place at St. Michael’s Anglican Church, Creston South on:
Friday, May 24, 2024 at 11am
Interment to follow at St. Michael’s Anglican Cemetery, Creston South.
In James’ memory, in-lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Michael’s Anglican Cemetery Fund.
