MacEACHERN, James Gordon “Jim” – Passed away peacefully at Louise Marshall Hospital, Mount Forest, on Wednesday, October 16, 2024 in his 78th year surrounded by his loving family in his final moments. Dearest devoted husband to Dawn (Orchard) and wonderful father to Britt, Dee (Bob) and Jaye (Keith). Jim truly cherished every moment spent with his six delightful grandchildren, Wyatt, Somer, Blythe, Charlie, Hudson and Milo. Jim was loved by his parents, the late Roger and Eveleen and his mother and father-in-law the late Lloyd and Ruth Orchard.
Jim was loved by his extended family and his siblings Marilyn and the late Fred Kingston, the late Julie and George (surviving) Laithwaite, Donna and Ron Reid, Susan and Paul Finn, Tacey and Frank Haid, and the late Ken MacEachern. As a long-time resident of Holstein and Mount Forest, Jim enjoyed a variety of successful careers and was well known in the community and will be missed by his many dear friends.
Private interment will be held at the Mount Forest Cemetery. Please join the family at the Egremont Optimist Club, 392137 Grey County Road 109, Holstein, on Saturday, October 26th. A service will start at 1:00 p.m., followed by refreshments and fellowship at 1:30 p.m. If you prefer not to attend the service, you are welcome to join the family in the afternoon until 4:00 p.m.
