MacDonald, James Anthony, age
61, of Black Avon, Antigonish County passed away on December 14, 2023,
in St. Martha’s Regional Hospital,
Antigonish.
Born in Antigonish, he was the son of the late Donald and
Myrtle (Marr) MacDonald.
Jimmy was a member of Labor Union 615 and spent many years
working in the forestry industry. He loved his cats and dogs
and looked forward to hunting and fishing and spending time in the
outdoors. He could often be found watching is favorite
sports, hockey (Boston Bruins) and baseball.
He is survived by his brothers: Lawrence (Janice); Jerome
(Barb) of Black Avon; sister, Ann MacDonald, Black Avon; nieces:
Joanne (Cameron), Eillieen (Josh), Kimberly (Jason); nephew, Jamie
(Raelene); grand nieces: Gracie, Jalysa, Ava; grand nephews: Rylan,
Cody and Ashton.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by brothers Raymond
and Archie and sisters Barbara and Eileen in infancy.
Cremation has taken place. A burial service will be
held at a later date.
