Passed away peacefully on March 10, 2023, at the age of 88. Beloved wife of the late Clarence John (Bub) Giles (January 15, 2002). Predeceased by her mother Doris Paxton, her stepfather Gerald Hannah, her father Adrian LaRue, and her stepmother Grace LaRue. Cherished mother of Diane Adrienne (Henry Crowdis) of Kelvin, Daryl John Giles (Kathi) of Wilsonville, Kimberly Anne Giles (Yanick Lavoie) of Ottawa, David Richard Giles (Anna-Marie) of Chatham. Proud grandmother of Adrienne Crowdis (John Chary), Casey Crowdis, Constable Daryl John Giles Jr. (Sarah), Leanne Giles, Lana Giles (Jeff Murtland), Chelsea Cable and Corporal Joel Lavoie. Loving great-grandmother of Sydney Crowdis, Andrew Keyes, Skyler Reece, Grace Giles and Kelsey Giles. Survived by sisters Barbara McIntyre (the late Alec), Gail Miller (the late Bill), Geraldine Hannah, Judy Topp (Fred), Sharon Stroud (Garry) and brothers Doug Hannah (Betty) and Richard LaRue (Linda), as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Also predeceased by her brother Gary LaRue and her companion and dance partner Roger Martin. Jacquie and Bub lived and raised their children in Hartford, Ontario and then moved to Chatham where they were superintendents of Grandview Apartments. Jacquie was a longtime member of the Active Living Centre where she loved to participate in dance and drama classes. Sincere thanks to the staff of Copper Terrace Long Term Care Home for their compassionate care in the last few years following her stroke. Cremation has already taken place. Celebration of life will be held on Friday, April 7, 2023, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Active Lifestyle Centre in Chatham, Ontario and on Sunday, June 4, 2023 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Waterford Legion in Waterford, Ontario. Her ashes will be buried at Hartford Cemetery. Donations to Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated. Arrangements entrusted to Kendrick Funeral Home, 4 Victoria Avenue, Chatham, Ontario.
