Jack Henry Wanninkhof Obituary
With great sadness, Jack passed away on Wednesday, June 5, 2024, at Haliburton Hospital with his wife and sisters at his side, at the age of 61. Devoted and loving husband of Jacqueline (nee Dempster). Married in October 2010, and a couple since February 1993. Much loved and cherished brother to Margaret (Layne) and Andrea. Predeceased by his parents, Anne (nee DeGroot) and Jacob. Brother-in-law to David -deceased (Donna), Gary -deceased, Scott (Lenore), Mark, Kelly (Shane -deceased), and Bobbi-Jo (Glen). Proud uncle of Kyra (Mark) and Tegan as well as Shannon (Ian), Whitney, and Emma. Great Uncle “Our Big Jack” to Sadie and Royce. He will be fondly remembered by his extended family in Canada and the Netherlands. Jack will be especially missed by a never-ending circle of friends and “brothers” who shared the same passion for all things with motors, scrap, parts, restoration, NASCAR, mud racing, snowmobiling, horseshoes, curling, and hockey.
Celebration of Life
A Celebration of Jack’s Life will be held at the LLOYD WATSON CENTRE 2249 Loop Road, Wilberforce on Sunday, July 7, 2024, from 1 to 4 p.m. Tributes at 2 pm. Family and Friends welcome. As an expression of sympathy, donations can be made to the Haliburton Highlands Health Services Foundation or the Wilberforce Curling Club. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the HALIBURTON COMMUNITY FUNERAL HOME 13523 Hwy. #118, Haliburton, Ontario (705) 457-9209.
