At the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance on Friday September 29th, 2023, Mrs. Iris Chase of Chatham passed away at the age of 84 years. Cherished daughter of the late Maceo and Myrtle Shreve. Beloved wife of Horace. Loving mother Patricia Robbins-Clark of Chatham, Penny Robbins of Chatham, and Doug and his wife Andrea Robbins of Chatham. Proud grandmother of Spencer (Erin), Wesley and Bo, and proud great grandmother of Griffin, Blake, Donovan, and Mackenzie. Dear sister of Betty Payne, and Wayne Shreve (Louise). Predeceased by siblings LeRoy Shreve, Doris Richardson, and Eugene Shreve.
Iris loved her patch of paradise at Wildwood By The Lake, baking, sharing and enjoying her baked goods and couldn’t get enough time with her great grandchildren. The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses, and staff of the PCU, ICU and Medicine A for their care and compassion.
Family and friends are invited to the Alexander & Houle Funeral Home, 245 Wellington Street West, Chatham, 519-352-2710 on Tuesday October 3rd, 2023, with visiting from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm. The funeral service will be conducted from the chapel of the funeral home on Wednesday October 4th, 2023, at 11 am with Pastor Michael Koppes officiating. Cremation to follow with interment at a later date. Friends planning an expression of remembrance are asked to consider a charity of their choice.
