Dieppe, NB – It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Ulysse Bastarache, that occurred on Saturday, March 25th, 2023, at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Centre at the age of 89.
Born in Scoudouc, he was the son of the late Edmond Bastarache and the late Marie (Melanson) Bastarache.
Ulysse worked for Day and Ross as an employee and owner operator until his retirement. He was an excellent truck driver. He enjoyed music, playing guitar, singing and he also enjoy painting.
He will be sadly missed by his four sons: Ricky (Kathy) and Daniel (Gisèle) both of Lakeville, Bobby (Eliane) of Irishtown and Pete (Jacinthe) of Dieppe; his five grandchildren: Krista, Joseph, David, Alysha and Cindy; his seven great grandchildren: Alice, Stella, Claire, Adèle, Bruno, David and Emma; his two brothers: Alonzo (late Jeanne) of Dieppe and Thomas (Jeannette) of Cocagne as well as several nieces and nephews.
Beside his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Simone, his son, Terry, and by his four sisters: Rita, Jeannine, Aurore and Lucille (infant).
There will be no visitation. Funeral mass will be held at the Sainte-Thérèse-de-l’Enfant-Jésus roman catholic church, Dieppe, on Friday, March 31st at 11:00 am.
