Vanslyke, Ida Irene – Passed away in her 103rd year, with her family at her side, at the John M. Parrott Centre, Napanee on Wednesday, June 12th, 2024. Daughter of the late Herbert and Lillie Herrington. Beloved wife of the late Wilbert Vanslyke. Cherished mother to Carl Vanslyke (Donna) of Foxboro, Stephen Vanslyke (Linda) of Tweed, and Sheila Cook (Brad) of Tamworth. Pre-deceased by her son Ray Vanslyke. Ida is pre-deceased by all of her siblings; Marion, Jean, Blanche, Norma, Hubert, Oray “Barney”, and Roy. She will be remembered by grandchildren; Dennis, Angela (Brad), Jody, Amy (Richard), Marcy (Paul), Jason (Tracy), and Trina (Paul). She will be missed by many-great grandchildren. In keeping with the family’s wishes, a private graveside service will take place. If desired, donations in Ida’s memory can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
