After a brief stay at VON, Sakura House, Woodstock, Ian, David Harvey of Tillsonburg passed away on Tuesday, January 16, 2024 at the age of 83 years.
Loving husband of 46 years to Iris (nee Hodgson)
Loving and dedicated father to Kristine Harvey and her husband Mario Vilela, Tanya Boone, and stepson Mark Mateyk.
He was a grandfather who was a true bridge for his grandsons, Cody Vilela, Domenic Boone, Mikey Henry, and Brandon Henry.
Ian will be missed and forever cherished by all of his cousins, extended family and longtime friends, whom he considered his brothers and sisters.
Ian was a friend to all, he helped everyone he could. He was a curious individual who loved to learn and was genuinely interested in everyone he met.
Ian dedicated his time and was a board member for over 20 years to the Helping Hand Food Bank, Tillsonburg.
Ian was an avid golfer and loved to golf as much as he loved to travel. He also enjoyed collecting antiques, and caring for his precious orchard
He was also very proud of being a longtime member of CORSA Ontario, the Oldsmobile Club of America and the Camera Club of Tillsonburg. Ian was also a member of St. John’s Anglican church for over 25 years.
Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held for Ian at the St. John’s Anglican Church, Tillsonburg, ON, with the date and time to be announced. Donations in memory of Ian may be made to the Helping Hand Food Bank, Tillsonburg or a charity of your choice and can be done directly to the charity or via cheque payable to the Charity by contacting the Funeral Home.
