Herbie Genaille Obituary
Herbert was born to Tony and Lydia Genaille on January 27th, 1965, but unfortunately left us on December 4th, 2023, from the St. Bonafice Hospital, Winnipeg, Manitoba.
Herbie, as some of his ole friends would call him, grew up in Pelican Rapids, where he received his education and later went to Cranberry Portage. During Herbies prime years he had odd jobs, such as pulp cutting, fire fighting, or wherever he could find work. His hobbies were playing guitar, especially playing lead, he was a very talented player. He also had a sense of humour and made people laugh who he knew, he loved joking around. He enjoyed chatting with family and friends on Facebook and messenger, one to name cuz Gloria Kematch.
Later in life he moved to the city of Winnipeg, where unfortunately he had a bad accident, which left him paralyzed, he was then taken in by the Tache Nursing Care Home where he lived for 30 years. Herb met a special friend there by the name of Aline, whom he nicked named “Baby blue eyes”. He was devastated when she passed on earlier, Herb was heartbroken, and never the same, but he did believe the one day he will see her and those who went on before us. For he was a god believing person.
He is survived by his siblings: Terrance, Ida (Carsten)E Echloff, Valery, Sheldon, Gaston (Teresa), Humprey (Flora), Daniel (Karen) Dethmers, Leon (Gen), and many Nieces and nephews, great nieces, and nephews, and by so many cousins.
Herb is predeceased by his parents Tony and Lydia, Grandparents Antoine and Catherine, David and Flora Campeau, Sister Dora, brothers John (Suzie) and Ephrem (Ruby), and his special friend Aline from the Tache Care Home, Cousins too many to mention. For those we have not mentioned we apologize it was not intentional.
