With great sadness we announce the passing of our dear and loving friend, Henry Hutchings, at the age of 81. Predeceased by his parents Henry (Harry) & Hilda Hutchings; sister Nellie Petten; brother-in-law Les Petten; brother-in-law Charlie Butler.
Forever loved and missed by his sister Mabel Butler; brother Ronnie Hutchings (Marg), and a large circle of family and friends that Henry has loved and touched over the years. He had many acquired “children & grandchildren” that he called his own and his love and pride for them was immeasurable.
Henry was born to Harry & Hilda Hutchings in 1942 in St. John’s, NL. He grew up in The Battery and had many tales to tell about his younger life there with his parents and siblings. Henry was an entrepreneur and a natural born businessman. He overcame many obstacles and created a successful business enterprise which he dedicated his life to. He loved to be on the road and go wherever his business would take him – meeting and charming many people along the way.
Henry knew everyone, and everyone knew Henry. He made friends everywhere he went, young and old alike. He will be remembered for his cheerful personality, his charisma and his loving, caring manner. He was always there to lend a hand to anyone who needed it, never wanting anything in return. He truly was one of a kind, and his memory will live on in the hearts of all those that were fortunate enough to know him.
Cremation to take place. No visitation or funeral service at this time.
