In her 95th year, Helen Rose Lightfoot, formerly of Wolfville, passed away peacefully on March 2, 2024 in the Evergreen Home for Special Care in Kentville. Born on June 29, 1929 in Gaspereau, Helen was the daughter of the late Ernest and Olive (Schofield) Davidson.
Helen cherished her relationship with her family and friends, especially her grand- and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed playing card games, going for walks with friends, playing piano at a variety of sing-songs and cooking for her family. Helen was a long-time member of the Wolfville Baptist Church.
Helen and her beloved husband, Maurice, raised a loving family.
Helen is survived by her children, Sheila (Gary) Hutchinson and David Lightfoot; and will be dearly missed by her two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Helen was predeceased by her husband of 65-years, Maurice Leroy Lightfoot; and her siblings, Leslie, Don, Ivan, Clyde, Arnold, Raymond, Helena, Clara, Beulah, and Carl.
A Memorial Service, for Helen, will be held on Saturday, April 6, 2024, at 2:00 pm in the Serenity Funeral Home. Interment will follow the service in the Willow Bank Cemetery. Family Flowers only. Memorial donations may be made to the Wolfville Baptist Church, 487 Main St, Wolfville, NS B4P 1E3. Arrangements have been entrusted to Serenity Funeral Home, 34 Coldbrook Village Park Dr., Coldbrook, NS, B4R 1B9 (902-679-2822).
