Obituary of Helen Janosek
Helen Janosek of Ridgetown, passed away peacefully surrounded by family and friends on Tuesday August 13, 2024.
She was the daughter of the late Joseph & Nellie (nee Soudant) Janosek.
Beloved mom of the late Anthony Janosek, Stepmom of Natasha Sheeler (Vic), Michelle Sheeler (Brennan) and Allison Sheeler (Dustin).
Loving grandmother of Jaxson Kresan, Sienna Fraser, Ryker Rainey, Miah Ezenduka and Nora Sheeler Ezenduka, Keira McQuade and her much anticipated new addition, Baby McQuade.
Big Sister to Joseph Janosek (Tracy) & Michael Janosek (Kathy).
Loving aunt of Juliana, Michael, Paul, Emily, Lauren, Jon & Bri.
She will also be dearly missed by many friends and family especially Robert Prestiege, Sandy O’Neil, Kevin & Jen Kresan, Rachel Hopkins, Lynne Legue (Cashmere), Bessie & Lee Smith and many other incredible friends.
Niece of the late Henny (late George) Franssen, the late Mary (Bernard) Burm, Nettie DeMaat, Paul (Eda) Soudant, Mary Lou (Richard) Depelsmaeker, and the late Leo (Anna) Soudant. She will also be missed by many other cousins & extended family.
Helen lived a free spirited life of adventure, born and raised in Ridgetown Ontario. In her younger years she enjoyed traveling the world living in both California and Vancouver. While traveling she conceived her son and met her life long best friend Sandy. She touched the lives of everyone she met with her boisterous and contagious laugh and smile. She’ll be remembered as one of the most selfless and kind hearted people. Helen had so much love and compassion for her fur babies especially Diego.
We’d like to thank all of the medical staff at Chatham-Kent Health Alliance and recognize Dr. Helt, and the entire medical and spiritual team for their quality care and compassion.
Visitation will be held at the Funeral Home, 76 Main St. East, Ridgetown, on Friday, August 16, 2024 from 6:00 – 8:00 pm. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday at the Funeral Home at 11:00 am. Cremation to follow.
