On Monday June 3rd, 2024, Helene Hubert, surrounded by her children and grandchildren passed into the spirit world.
At the age of 91 years, Helene lived a life filled with love, laughter, travel and sports. For years she enjoyed golfing, skiing, tennis, basketball games and snowshoeing. Up to her last day on earth, Helene walked approximately 2 kms a day and when attending her Perley Program, she was the first one on the dance floor – ready to engage all others in her love of music.
While she held many fascinating employments over the years, her greatest love was the love of family – and spending time at the lake.
Pre-deceased by her parents, Gerard Hubert and Jeanne Lanthier, her sisters Cecile and Madeleine, her brothers Jean Guy and Olivier, she leaves to grieve her sister Olivette, Andree and Lise.
Widow to John C Logue (Popeye) (Dec 1975) and in second marriage, widow to Norman Baird, (Dec 2004).
Helene was a loving and caring mother to Ken, Louise, Suzy, (Rick) and Mike, (Sylvie) and caring stepmother to Kelly Ann and Susan (Scott).
Devoted and outstanding grandmother to Brent (Melissa), Jason, (Renee) and Andrew, (Stefanie) Harrison, John, (Juliana) and James, (Elizabeth) Ramsay, Jennifer and Kimberley Logue and amazing great grandmother to Logue Harrison & Jacob; Emily, Owyn, and Ayla Harrison; and William, Patrick and John Ramsay; and Lennon Ramsay.
Helene enjoyed great times with a caring friend and walking partner, Peggy Paul.
Helene had a ‘joie de vivre’ that was contagious to all in her presence. Though she has left us – she will never be forgotten!
Helene’s ashes will be buried at the Maniwaki Assomption cemetery on Thursday, June 20th, 2024, at 11am.
