Helen Vivian MacEachern (nee Dickson) passed away peacefully at The Regency in Port Hope at the age of 92 on July 15, 2023.
Born in St. John, New Brunswick, Helen lived her life with gusto and lived from coast to coast across Canada. Married at the age of 19, Helen and Alexander Hugh remained closely bonded until his passing after 56 years of marriage. Helen chose to pursue education at Durham College in Oshawa, Ontario, and became the first of 3 generations of family who would follow in her footsteps to graduate from the very same campus. She would work caring for others before retiring back home in New Brunswick. Helen had strong faith and trust in God and held these values dear to her heart throughout her life. Later in her life, Helen spoke passionately about the elderly and the needs she saw in the people and community around her. Their wellbeing, safety, and support were often on her mind.
Helen is survived by her children Darlene, Yvonne, and Angela as well as her grandchildren. She was predeceased by her only son Alan Alexander MacEachern.
Helen has requested that there be no visitation or formal service on her behalf and she will be reunited in rest with her late husband at a later date.
