Helen M Coleman
1935-2023
Helen Marie Coleman, of Hillsborough NB, has passed away
March 24, 2023, after a brief battle with cancer.
Born in Berwick, Nova Scotia, Helen spent her early years in
the town of Aylesford. She was the daughter of Margret McIntyre and
granddaughter of John and Annie (Holland) McIntyre.
Helen is survived by her sons John (Michelle) Coleman of
Saskatoon and Richard (Carolle) Coleman of Edgetts Landing NB, as well
as her special niece Leslie Dunnington of Bedford, NS. She
also leaves behind four dear grandchildren, Joshua, Ben, John Ross and
Jessica and her three beloved great grandchildren. She was predeceased
by her husband Ross Gordon Coleman, grandchild Colin Joseph Coleman
and long-time companion Roy Niven.
Leaving her many close friends in the Dartmouth area in late
2020 was difficult, but she quickly surrounded herself with good
friends and new golf buddies in Hillsborough, NB. Her final
years were happily spent gabbing with the girls in the Tower Room,
avoiding water on her golf course, and spending every minute she could
with her loving family.
As per her wishes there will be no service scheduled. Family
will attend her burial beside her husband in the beautiful Annapolis
Valley, NS. Celebrations of life are planned, with locations
and dates to be advised. Arrangements are entrusted to
Cobb’s Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 330 Whitepine Rd.
Riverview (869-2007). Donations in her honor may be made to the Maison
Albert House Hospice of Moncton or to your local food
banks.
