Heather McKeown peacefully entered into rest in Lindsay, Ontario on Saturday, October 21 at the age of 65.
Heather, affectionately known as «Q» to her students in the Durham District School Board, loved her music teaching career. Playing in brass bands and conducting were at the core of her being. Heather’s passion for music led her to serve across Canada with the National Band of the Naval Reserve and HMCS York for 23 years. Sewing and quilting not only filled her spare time, it rounded out her social circle. Herb Wolf, Heather’s beloved husband of 21 years, also shared her love of music.
Predeceased by her parents James and Jean McKeown.
Cherished sister of Dr. David McKeown (Dr. Mary Anne Higgins) and Peter (Joan) McKeown. Heather will be missed by her nieces, Colleen, Sarah and Chloe.
Heather will be missed by Erik (Kristine) Wolf, Theresa (Johnathon) Doty, Helen (Jay) Sinai and their children Arianna, Evan, Charlie, Ben and Ruby.
Nephew Jody (Lori) Wolf will forever miss her joy and optimism.
Heather will be placed at St. James Cemetery in Toronto.
Memorial donations may be made online to ALS Canada or by cheque through Mackey Funeral Home, 33 Peel Street, Lindsay.
