Heather MacPhee
1947-2022
Heather Ann MacPhee of Oxbow, NB, passed away at the Grand Falls
General Hospital on November 28, 2022.
Heather was born in Saint John, NB, on August 29, 1947. She was the
daughter of the late Leonard and Margaret (MacInnes) Briggs. Heather
leaves behind her daughter, Maggie MacPhee of Saint John, NB; her
sons, Jason MacPhee (Cathy) of Plaster Rock, NB, Andrew MacPhee (Jen
Gander) of Gravenhurst, ON, Ian MacPhee (Kelly) of Plaster Rock, NB;
her sister, Bonnie Seager (Tom) of Orillia, ON; her brother, Mike
Kieley of Oxbow, NB; 14 grandchildren and several great
grandchildren.
Heather was predeceased by her parents; her husband, John Victor
MacPhee; her partner, Rollie Noland; and her daughter, Leah
MacPhee.
Heather was happiest at her home on the Tobique. She loved to spent
time on her screen porch in the spring, summer and fall, and puttering
in her gardens. She always made her home welcoming to her many
friends, extended family and friends. She considered herself very
lucky to live in a beautiful location with friends and the greatest
neighbors who would visit and help her in any way they could.
Heather was very loved by her lifelong friend, Marilyn Shannon and was
so very thankful to have Marilyn and her family as part of her
extended family. Heather also counted Frances Lloyd as one of her
closest friends and enjoyed spending time with her and daily telephone
conversations with her. She was also thankful for all of her many
other close friends and cousins who would always come visit and spent
time with her. She felt she was truly blessed, and she will be greatly
missed by so many.
Heather also loved animals and would feed wildlife in her yard. She
had many furred and feathered friends who she loved dearly, including
her parrot, Harvey, and her Siamese cat, Maggie. She also always
looked forward to her many visits from friend’s and family’s pets
including Sylvester, Camo, Luna, Mr. Bad, Jasper and Sumi.
Heather was well known in the community and her loss will be felt by
many, but there are so many good memories of her to carry on her
legacy and may we all smile and remember a life well lived.
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, June 17, 2023 at the
Burntland Brook Women’s Institute Hall at 1160 Route 385, Oxbow, NB
from 12 – 3 pm. All are welcome to attend.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Plaster Rock Public
Library or the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada would be
appreciated by the family.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Brunswick Funeral Home,
