It is with broken hearts that the family of the late Harry Brendan Abbott of Fortune, NL (formerly of Pushthrough) announces his passing at the Blue Crest Nursing Home on Friday, September 6, 2024, at the age of 83.
Leaving to mourn are John and Gladys Rowsell (with whom he resided), their sons, Harry (Sylvia) and John; Harry’s sons, Mark and Neil, whom he dearly loved; cousins, Doug Skinner (Pearl) and their children Cindy Keeping (Paris), Pamela Dinn (Jason), Tyson Skinner (Elaine) plus all their children and grandchildren, cousin, Donald Skinner (Iris); friend, Ivy King, whom he has known since childhood, plus a large circle of family and friends.
Harry was a teacher for 30 years, starting in Wreck Cove, Fortune Bay, ending in Jamison Academy in Salt Pond. He also taught at Rencontre West, Grole, Lamaline and Grand La Pierre.
The family will be accepting visitors at the All Saints Anglican Church Chapel in Fortune on:

Funeral Service will be held at:
All Saint’s Anglican Church
Monday, September 9, 2024 at 2:00PM
Interment to follow at All Saints Anglican Cemetery.
No Flowers by request of the family.
Donations to Harry’s memory may be made to All Saint’s Anglican Cemetery Fund.
