In Loving Memory of
Harold «Hal» Marshall, age 84, who passed away suddenly
surrounded by his loved ones on Thursday, December 7, 2023 at
Colchester East Hants Health Centre.
Hal was born in Digby,
then he and his family moved to Montreal, Quebec. At the age of 20, he
joined the RCMP and was dedicated to his communities for over 33
years. Proudly serving in numerous places across Canada, with many
proud accomplishments, his last few years were spent in the Maritimes.
He retired on Prince Edward Island and later moved to Nova
Scotia.
Hal will be remembered
for his love of cooking, his homemade ice cream and the beautiful
poppies in his gardens. He enjoyed bowling and spent his days at the
gym.
He is survived by his
wife and best friend, Wanda, and his children, Trevor (Eleanor)
Marshall, Quispamsis, New Brunswick, Terri (Mike) Turnbull,
Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, Tracey (Chris) MacIsaac, Halifax,
Melissa (Jim) Spielman, Fargo, United States and Amanda (Troy) Huston,
Truro as well as many grandchildren. The void left by his departure
will be deeply felt by all who had the privilege of knowing
him.
Arrangements have been
entrusted to Mattatall-Varner Funeral Home, 55 Young Street, Truro
where a private service will be held for the family. In lieu
of flowers, donations in Hal’s memory to Alzheimer Society
of Nova Scotia are welcomed. Public messages of condolence may be sent
