MOMBOURQUETTE, Gwendolyn Agnes (Gwen) – 58, passed away peacefully at home, Monday January 29th 2024. She was the daughter of the late Daniel R. and Sophie J. (Martell) Mombourquette.
Gwen loved being out in her community. She served as an alter server for many years at the L’Ardoise Holy Guardian Angels Parish and took great pride in what she did and was very meticulous. She was a loving daughter, sister and aunt. Gwen always enjoyed a game of cards, a Christmas merchandise bingo and dropping in to visit friends and family in the community.
She loved going blueberry picking with her niece and nephew’s. Gwen was the kind of person to give the shirt off her back to you, she was kind, caring and always willing to help out. Gwen had a great love for her cats at home.
She is survived by her brothers, Raymond, Allan and Donnie (Jennie), of L’Ardoise and sister, Sandra MacDonald (Doug). She was predeceased by her sister Anna of L’Ardoise.
Gwen had a very deep love for her many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews and she will be sadly missed.
The family would like to thank her many special friends who were always there to lend a helping hand during her stay at the Cape Breton regional hospital.
