Obituary
Graham John Pollett originally from New Harbour, Trinity Bay passed away peacefully holding the hand of his beloved wife Selma (Penney) at St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital on Saturday June 3rd, 2023.
He is predeceased by his first born son Ian (Nadina); his parents George H. Pollett and Isabella (Hefford); step-father Boyd Hefford; his sister Pauline (Claude); his brothers-in-law Cyril, Claude, Thomas; his step brothers Fred and Lawerance.
Leaving to mourn his loving wife, Selma; son Toby; daughter Sonya (George); his only granddaughter Jessica Hann who loved her papa Eeyore; his sisters Laura, Alvina and Madonna (Mike); his step brothers and sisters Blondie (Kay), Shirley, Garry (Linda) and Helen. He also leaves numerous nieces and nephews; great nieces and nephews too many to count who loved their uncle Graham dearly; his in-laws who he had many laughs and fond memories with and many, many friends.
Dad worked with NL power for over 30 years where he was better known as Pops! He enjoyed travelling after retirement with mom. There wasn’t a place on this island they didn’t explore. He loved being with his family too, extended and beyond. So many laughs and adventures. He remained active in the community from Meals on Wheels to driving the NL Power truck in the Santa Clause Parade each year. But most of all he valued family!
Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held on Wednesday June 7th from 2:00pm-4:00pm and 7:00pm-9:00pm and Thursday June 8th from 2:00pm-4:00pm and 7:00pm-9:00pm at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue, St. John’s. Funeral Service will take place on Friday, June 9th at 11:00am from Barrett’s Memorial Chapel. Burial to take place at a future date.
In Lieu of flowers donations in Graham’s memory can be made to the Newfoundland and Labrador Heart and Stroke Foundation.
