It is with broken hearts that the family of the late Grace J. Legge of Creston South announces her passing. Grace passed away at the Burin Peninsula Health Care Centre in Burin on August 8, 2024 at the age of 95. Leaving to mourn with a lifetime of wonderful memories are her children Margaret Jauch (James) of Calgary, AB, Judy Chalker (Timothy) of Grand Falls – Windsor, Ivan Legge Jr. (Catherine), Rick Legge (Mary), Alvin Legge (Mary), Lonnell Legge (Marilyn) all of Creston South; 10 grandchildren, Peter Jauch (Lora), Glenn Devereaux (Jenny), Timothy Chalker (Renell), Meghan Kobryn (Soren), Krista Young (Glenn), Michael Legge (Kevina), Greg Strickland (Liz), Jeff Strickland (Emma), Jeremy Legge (Samantha), Cameron Legge (Kristen); 21 great-grandchildren, Matthew, Elizabeth, Geoffrey, Kip, Addison, Kaitlyn, Nygel, Jared, Ayden, Autumn, Damian, Alessia, Antonio, Paige, Kylah, Ava, Brooklyn, Gracie, Jacob, Rosie, Everlee; brother-in-law, Clayton Senior; home care worker, Daphne Drake and special niece, Florence Cluett; plus a large circle of extended family and friends.
Grace was predeceased by her husband, Ivan Legge; parents, Eliza & James Mayo; parents-in-law, Margaret & James Legge; siblings, Donald Mayo (Gladys), Rex Mayo and Winona Senior.
The Legge Family will be accepting visitors at Peninsula Funeral Home, 4 Markland Rd Creston South, NL on:
Sunday, August 11, 2024 from
2:00pm to 9:00pm
A funeral service will take place at St. Michael and All Angels Anglican Church in Creston South on:
Monday, August 12, 2024 at 11:00am
With Interment to follow.
In lieu of flowers, in Grace’s memory, donations may be made to the St. Michael and All Angels Anglican Church Fund.
